LA SANGRE
La Sangre (“the blood” in Spanish) is a butoh piece, conceived, choreographed, and performed by Will Atkins. First conceived while assisting at the International Butoh Festival in Chile, and developed as a part of his Queer Butoh residency with Vangeline Theater, La Sangre is a performance combining butoh with needle play. It is a piece about the trauma and triumph of the queer community.
